Day 1: Arusha National Park – Game Drives & Walking With Rangers

Arusha National Park is an often overlooked gem of Tanzania! One of the most scenic parks, it’s a perfect way to ease into a safari experience.

In the dense forests, you’ll find monkeys swinging overhead, and suddenly the trees will clear for a view of rolling hills and giraffes at every turn.

Here we are going to take advantage of the calm atmosphere and hop out of the safari vehicles for an adventure on foot with park rangers. There is something so special about exploring the wilds of Tanzania on foot! Lunch will be served at a picnic spot overlooking the park.

After a day immersed in nature, you will head off to your next park where you will overnight and prepare for an action-packed day.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you will enter the land of elephants!

Tarangire National Park is home to some of the most majestic wildlife in all of Africa. Here you will spot everything from looming giraffes to the iconic impala. You will lunch in the park where you will dig into a packed lunch while fending off the cheeky monkeys!

After a full day of game driving, you will head to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Manyara & the Treetops

After breakfast, you will leave Tarangire National Park and head to Lake Manyara. Here you will enjoy an afternoon game drive, and eat lunch surrounded by nature once more.

This park bursts with an array of amazing animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, unique tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of colorful flamingos.

Today we will break up the game drive with a unique treetop walk. This way, you will experience nature from up high, experiencing untouched nature from the serenity of the treetops.

Day 4: Mto wa Mbu – Local Activities, Village Walk, Bicycle Tour, Cooking with Locals

Today you won’t be needing your binoculars; instead, it’s time to experience the beautiful local culture! Today we will drive through Mto wa Mbu, a traditional local village, where time seems to lose all meaning.

Here you can shop at a local market, go for a guided village walk and take a picturesque bike ride through the surrounds of the village. To top it off you will get a chance to enjoy a local cooking lesson; because, what cultural experience would be complete without learning to cook a new traditional dish?

Today is a day for meeting new people and experiencing a vibrant culture that will no doubt touch your heart. You will have dinner and overnight at a nearby lodge.

Day 5-6: Lake Natron

Today get ready for a change in scenery! Not many people know that Tanzania is home to a vast lake that will take your breath away. Laying in the shadows of a volcano, Lake Natron is a sight to behold.

During your stay here your days will be filled with walks along the lake, waterfall hikes, village tours, and a chance to learn about the fascinating 120,000-year-old human footprints preserved in volcanic ash.

Feel free to ask us about bike rides and summit trekking if you are keen for more adventurous activities. Your evenings here will be spent near the lake, with sunsets that will rival any you have seen yet.

Day 7: Drive to Serengeti, Overnighting in Lobo

Today you will have a leisurely breakfast before you begin your long journey to the famous Serengeti National Park.

Today you will drive from one side of the Serengeti to the other before you reach Lobo where you will spend the night, preparing for a day of action-packed game driving.

Day 8-9: Serengeti Game Drive

Excitement will hang in the air today as you drive towards the most celebrated national park in the world… The Serengeti! Here, your dreams of visiting the world of Disney’s Lion King will come to pass

The drive to the Serengeti is picturesque, and you may even spot some giraffes and zebra before you even reach the gates of the park. This park offers you the quintessential African Safari experience, with dusty planes and majestic wildlife. You’ll love every second of it.

How about a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti? Ask us about it! Before dusk settles, you will head back to your accommodation for dinner and rest.

Fly to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for Connection

All good things must come to an end, but your departure is made a little sweeter by the stunning views you will enjoy on your way! You will fly over the majestic planes of the Serengeti, onwards to your next adventure.
