Welcome to the Island of Zanzibar

The main island of the Zanzibar archipelago is Unguja which has a long and pained history. Stone Town is the capital of Zanzibar Island which dates from the nineteenth century and it is currently a perceived World Heritage site. Throughout the long term Persian, Indian and European victories have all influenced the style of the buildings. It is entertaining to tour the winding roads of this town by foot continuing on to the previous slave exchange markets at Kelele Square.

The previous Omani castle has been flawlessly reestablished keeping all the greatness of the past. In plain view in the entryway are the bits of well-known craftsmen in thick beautiful oil workmanship paintings. Other huge spots in Zanzibar are the Old Fort, Tippu Tip’s House, and Anglican Cathedral.
